Bike Skills Park grand opening ceremony held

The Cranbrook Bike Skills Park Society held a brief ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the Cranbrook Bike Park in Belmont Park Saturday, June 14.

BikePark Tanner, Wyatt & othersThe park was constructed just over a year ago with major support from the City of Cranbrook, Columbia Basin Trust and Living Stones Developments.

The park contains a variety of features for riders of all ages and levels. It gives us great pleasure to see the number of young people who spend time working in and riding at the park. Please contact the Society if you are interested in becoming involved.

Local businesses provided equipment and supplies to help with construction. We would like to thank Brandt Tractor, Canadian Tire, Countryside Homes, Home Depot, Home Hardware, Salvador Ready Mix, Sandor Rentals and Wolsely for their generous contributions.

The project could not have been completed without the help of Action Rentals, All Seasons Motor Sport, Big Blue Car Wash, Bridge Interiors, Cranbrook Express Ltd., Dacota Freight, Favorit Cycle, Fiorentino Bros., Funhogz, Gerick Sports, HM Productions, Interior Reforestation, MBSS Interact Club, Nutter’s, Peak Performance, Sarc Repair, Superstore, Tim Becking, Jerry Bischler, Jayna Cullen, Matt Denis, Dustin Greenhall, Ryan Hamilton, Sandra House, Gord McArthur, Dan Pelletier, Vince and Tammy Pesce, Russ Swain, and John, Bonnie and Justin Hayes.
