Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) August 14 to 6 a.m., August 21.
Police handled 193 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Two impaired drivers – one of which was an impaired collision.
11 collisions: seven in town; four outside of town. All collisions resulted either a non-fatal injury and/or damage to vehicles.
Four Mental Health Act calls – one apprehended.
Six assault complaints: three domestic in nature; one of which involved a knife with minor injuries.
23 thefts reported, including: three shoplifting; 16 thefts from unlocked motor vehicles – with four youths arrested overnight.
Two break and enters – one to a residence and one to a shed.
Six reports of property damage: one was an act of road rage between motorists; one was damage to a business window and two were related to thefts from vehicle calls.
Four false alarms.
Six false 911 complaints.
