A fashionable way to raise funds for MRI
Ladies of the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary (CHCA) Thrift Store put on another successful evening of fun and fashion Oct. 13 at the Heritage Inn.
The runway action was filled with fashions of casual, career and party wear plus a few costumes just in time for Halloween. All fashions were chosen from the generous donations received by the Thrift Shop. Laurie Goodlad, co-host of the evening, described the fashions worn by members of the CHCA Auxiliary and a special guest model. along with three members of the Kootenay ICE serving as escorts.
Auctioneer Jason Wheeldon helped bring in over $9,000 that the CHCA will utilize to purchase much-needed permanent MRI for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
A glass of wine, some appetizers, lots of laughter and fabulous Thrift Store door prizes made the evening an enjoyable one.
