Griz Days 2015 a beaut
Fernie and area once again burst to life during the annual Griz Days celebrations, held Feb. 27 to March 1.
Fernie’s biggest community celebration of the year was blessed this time around with crisp, clear, normal (relatively speaking) weather, which brought out the bearded and fur-clad en masse, taking part in a wide array of fun events – for kids and adults. The entire community, from Fernie Alpine Resort to the Fernie Memorial Arena to downtown to the Fernie Aquatic Centre was alive with activities.

Griz with Gerald and Normand Gagne of the Canal Flats-based Logger Sports entertainment team that performed two shows Feb. 28 at the Fernie Aquatic Centre.
The main stage also featured performers throughout the afternoon and evening, which culminated with a fireworks display.
Father and son team; Wing Eating Contest and Bacon Eating Contest winners Wes Wilhelm and Dustin Wilhelm.
