Home Energy Renovation Workshops upcoming

Homeowners, are you interested in saving money on your energy bill this winter? Are you considering home energy renovations?

The East Kootenay Energy Diet is hosting workshops in Sparwood, Invermere, Kimberley and Cranbrook to discuss home energy efficient upgrades and showcase local trades.

Home energy advisors, insulation, home heating and alternate energy suppliers will be on hand to discuss home energy renovation ideas with individual homeowners. Learn about the rebates and incentives available through BC Hydro, Fortis BC and individual East Kootenay local governments.  Sign up for the East Kootenay Energy Diet and access reduced cost home energy assessments.

All workshops are open to all homeowners in the East Kootenay and will be from 7 pm to 8:30 p.m. on four evenings in October. Each will feature a trade show, a presentation on the specifics of the Energy Diet for each community, an opportunity to register and refreshments.

Join us in: Sparwood October 1 (Senior Drop In Centre, 101 Pine Ave); Invermere October 2 (Lake Windermere Community Hall, 709 – 10th Street); Kimberley October 8 (Centennial Centre, 100 – 4th Ave.); or Cranbrook on October 9 at the Library Manual Training Room, 1212 2nd Street North.

Sign up now for the East Kootenay Energy Diet at www.eked.ca or by calling toll-free 1-855-598-4134.
