On Sept. 24 the grand opening of the new play park was held in conjunction with the kick off to the Energy Diet program headed by Megan Lohmann. The park was funded by the City of Fernie.

“Combining both the opening of the park playground and the Energy Diet program certainly worked in nicely with Fernie’s  concept of livable communities,” said Mayor Mary Giuliano. “That equipment will be a wonderful addition to the Mountainview subdivision and the children who live there.”
