Signs down but candidate not defeated

After picking up a pile of vandalized signs on Victoria Avenue, City of Cranbrook councillor candidate Wes Graham said he is ready to face this challenge head on.

A councillor in Creston for nine years, Graham said he has been through this before and to him this shows that he stands for something.

“I stand for a city hall that is open for business; taxes that are consistent for residents and business alike, removing red tape and punitive taxation for new business and those looking to expand. All this can be done. With nine years around a council table and a proven track record, I know that the city can hold a zero increase budget and even find savings,” Graham said.

He added he knows that council can set targets and hit the goals.

“The right team needs to be at the table and this city can move forward like never before. We need the opportunity for economic development, for jobs that bring people home and keep our young families working, living, and playing here,” he said, adding, “Progress can happen and I am up to the challenge, signs or not.”
