Tis the season of festivities and police want to remind drivers that they will be out to curb impaired driving.

Although police conduct road checks all year, there is a stronger focus during the festive season. The RCMP’s East Kootenay Traffic Services in conjunction with local detachments will be conducting road checks throughout the area this month.

Police want drivers to arrange a safe ride home for themselves and others if they choose to indulge in the holiday sprits. A quick drive home can be catastrophic for the rest of your life should you make the wrong choices.

Please make the right choice; your life could depend on it.
