Coffee with Council sessions Feb. 20

By Stephanie Stevens

If the mountain won’t go to Mohammed, then Mohammed will go to the mountain.

For the past two years, District of Invermere council has been holding ‘Coffee with Council’ sessions as a means to gain public input, and this year’s date is set for Wednesday, Feb. 20.

The topic on deck is the 2019-2023 financial plan.

The sessions are designed to get public input in an informal, casual setting, with the more formal open house scheduled for later that evening, with time and location to be determined.

If you want to talk with members of council regarding the proposed plan, you can meet up with them at one of three locations and times: The Quality Bakery at 9 a.m., The Bistro at 10 a.m. or the Circle Café at 11 a.m.

A member of council will also be at the February 14 seniors’ lunch in Invermere and will be available to chat.

There will also be an on-line survey available in early February.
