COVID-19 exposure reported at Invermere school

A School District No. 6 (Rocky Mountain) student  has been exposed to COVID-19 at J. A. Laird Elementary School in Invermere.

Interior Health reports a student case on Sept. 14/15.

Interior Health (IH) is working in partnership with school districts to support information-sharing when there are COVID-19 exposures at schools.

When a case of COVID-19 is confirmed, IH public health will work quickly to determine close contacts, and will make direct contact with parents/guardians of students who are considered to be at risk.

The IH says it is providing this information so school staff, students and parents can be confident that we are following up in your community and exposure risks are being reduced as much as possible.

If you or your child develop any symptoms of COVID-19, please get tested and then self isolate.
