The District of Invermere this afternoon announced that due to wildfire smoke creating poor air quality and rain in the forecast for the evening, it has cancelled the Monday night movie for tonight Godzilla Vs Kong.

“This will be postponed to a later date. We have put a lot of consideration into this frustrating and hard decision and above all, we want to provide a safe event for our community. Thank you for understanding and we will see you next week in Pothole Park,” the district stated on social media.

“In the meantime let’s all do the rain dance and hope that the rain in forecast is correct!”
