Parkway re-opened after vehicle incident
UPDATE: Highway 93 is now open following a morning vehicle incident.
Drive BC reports that Highway 93 is closed in Kootenay National Park due to a vehicle incident this morning.
The incident is near the Simpson River Trail parking area, 36 km south of the B.C./Alberta border.
Drive BC says drivers should expect major delays and due to Highway 1 construction in Kicking Horse Canyon, there is no detour available.
Highway 93 through the park is currently receiving all Trans-Canada traffic, from Sept. 26 until Dec. 1.
