Small fire reported near Lake Enid now out
UPDATE: As of this morning (July 10), BC Wildfire Service has removed this fire from its roster of active fires.
The BC Wildfire Service this morning (July 9) reports there is a small wildfire near the road entrance to Lake Enid, 6.5 km west of Wilmer.
The estimated .01-hectare fire is believed to be human-caused. The fire is only the second one reported in the region so far this fire season.
The human-caused Elmer Creek fire southwest of Yahk, which was reported on July 3, is noted as being about 1.8 ha and is under control, BC Wildfire Service notes.
