The debut of the 2016 Youth Ambassador candidates marks the official countdown to Sam Steele Days being held June 16-19.

The candidates were officially introduced at the Youth Ambassador Ball on Saturday, April 23.

This year’s eight candidates for Cranbrook’s Youth Ambassador along with sponsors are:

Jelena Jensen – Cranbrook Rotary; Candice Erickson – Colombo Lodge; Brianna McWhirter – Kin Club; Amanda Carter -B104 and the Drive FM; Serena Stuart – Lions Club; Amber Wavrecan – Ladies Auxiliary F.O.E.; Shanae Thompson – Sunrise Rotary; Morgan Mitchel – C.S.C.L.

The candidates were also treated to a photo shoot at the Royal Alexandra Hall at the Cranbrook History Centre by Isaac Hockley.

Kelsey Ackert, 2015 Sweetheart of Sam Steele, and Sarah Ferguson, Princess of Sam Steele joined in on the shoot.
