Aquatic Centre to close for maintenance
The Aquatic Centre at Western Financial Place will be closed for its annual maintenance from Sunday, June 17 to Sunday, July 8, with the facility reopening to the public on Monday, July 9.
Some of the major projects include: replacing the underwater lights with new LED fixtures; replacing the HVAC duct system and renovating the stairs to the waterslide. Minor projects will include: mechanical service work and system inspections, tile grouting and broken tile repairs, deep scrubbing and cleaning and some painting and touch up work.
It is also important to note that the entire facility, including the arena for concourse walking, will be closed on the weekends between June 17 and July 8.
Concourse walking will be available Monday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the closure.
