“We are extremely pleased that Minister Rustad found time in his busy schedule to travel to Cranbrook and address the business community,” said chamber board chair Chris Thom. “The chamber is confident that a functioning and productive relationship with first nations in British Columbia is essential to advancing the province to the benefit of all the citizens. We are looking forward to learning more from the minister on where the government is at in this regard.”

The Chamber of Commerce has arranged a dinner meeting the evening before with Minister Rustad and aboriginal and non-aboriginal leaders from the area.

“The chamber has invited leadership from up and down the valley for an informal reception and dinner with the minister at St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino,” said chamber executive director David D. Hull. “This will be a great opportunity for those in attendance to meet the minister one on one and create a more meaningful relationship.”

Tickets are still available for the Wednesday luncheon at the Prestige Inn and Conference Centre – go HERE.
