Couldn’t you have waited a month?
Letter to the Editor
To the loggers and heavy machinery operators putting in a road from 1st Avenue S down the hill toward Elizabeth Lake – you are doing an amazing job of removing trees and creating a road.
But right now, the trees are full of bird nests and nestlings; small animals have burrows and nests with young in them.
The deer are fawning. There is a pair of badgers that call that hill home – they are an endangered species, and may well have a burrow in there.
This project is badly timed and shows a complete disregard for everything but the job and the dollars. Couldn’t you have waited a month?
