Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services firefighters responded to a structure fire at 8:27 p.m. Friday (May 3).

A call was received for a fire at 4945 Highway 3/95 in the Twin Lakes area west of the city.

The log residence was heavily involved with fire upon arrival of four firefighters and two apparatus.

An additional apparatus and seven additional firefighters arrived on scene shortly after.

Fortunately the occupants were out of the home when the fire started, the fire department noted on social media.

Firefighters remained on scene through Saturday morning to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

The investigation is underway.
