UPDATE:

The U-Haul has been located and returned. One person was arrested as a result and released for a future court date.

Cranbrook RCMP is currently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a U-Haul truck reportedly stolen out of Edmonton.

Early on May 3, RCMP responded to a suspicious vehicle parked in the bush near Fraggle Rock. Officers attended and spoke with two individuals who had been camping for the night. They advised they would be moving along.

Later that afternoon Edmonton Police Service advised that the U-Haul was stolen from their point.

“We are currently looking for a white 2013 U-Haul-marked Ford E100 Van with Arizona Plates AE91140.  We suspect that the vehicle may be parked along back roads or camped in green spaces around the area,” said Cst. Katie Forgeron.

Should anyone locate the U-Haul they are asked to contact the Cranbrook office at 250-489-3471.
