Cranbrook RCMP Report

The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) May 22 to 6 a.m., May 29.

Police handled 185 calls for service throughout this week.

Among the calls police handled…

Six collisions – all occurred in town, resulting in minor injuries or property damage.

15 Mental Health Act calls – one apprehended / seven assist East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

Six assault complaints: two domestic in nature where one investigation resulted in arrest and charges/ four other assaults reported.

12 thefts reported: including four shoplifting; one theft of a motor vehicle reported, but resulted in being a boyfriend taking girlfriend’s car without permission; four thefts from motor vehicles, including loose change and a wallet taken. Majority of the vehicles were unlocked and rifled through. Three of four occurred in Mount Royal area. Two reports of bike theft from a fenced yard: one was recovered/ the other is still outstanding.

Two reports of property damage: tree and a vehicle damages.

One drug seizure – marijuana.

14 false alarms/ false 911 complaints.
