Drug alert issued for Cranbrook area
Interior Health has issued a drug alert for the Cranbrook area, warning about a high risk of fatal overdose.
Multiple samples of down with high concentrations of fentanyl and benzodiazepines have been located in the city. Appearing as “pink chunks,” the drug mixture causes amnesia, sleepiness and nodding out for a long time.
A person experiencing overdose may not respond to naloxone, Interior Health noted.
