What a fantastic day at the 47th annual Cranbrook Fire Fighters Fishing Clinic! The weather was beautiful, the fish were biting, and most importantly, everyone had a great time on the water at Idlewild Park.

We hope that many of the young anglers who attended left with more than just a fishing story—they may have found a lifelong hobby and appreciation for the outdoors.

The Cranbrook Fire Fighters would like to thank everyone who came out and helped make the day such a success.

A special thank you goes to the firefighters who gave up part of their own Father’s Day to volunteer their time, as well as the auxiliary volunteers, and retired firefighters who helped throughout the event.

This year’s attendance and catch totals were outstanding:

• 122 children attended;
• 316 fish were caught.

Community support like this makes events such as the Fishing Clinic possible and helps create lasting memories for local youth and families.
