The Boston Pizza / Northstar GM charity golf tournament held this summer has raised $24,650 for local charities.

The proceeds of the once-again successful tournament were provided today to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH), Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies (CFKR) and the Key City Gymnastics Travel Team.

Proceeds for each group are as follows: EKFH – $13,050; CFKR $10,000; Key City Gymnastics $1,600.

Trevor Gordon from Boston Pizza and Pat Spring from Northstar GM, co-organizers for this annual event said, “This golf tournament has evolved over the years to become one of the most entertaining and fun events of the summer for our local business community. Each year has sold out in corporate sponsorships and team entries and this is a true testament to the giving community we live in and do business.”
