The City of Cranbrook will be the epi-centre of the curling world starting tomorrow, November 8, as the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Tour Challenge gets underway.
An opening ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Western Financial Place, before the first draw (five matches) gets underway at 7 p.m.
Sixty teams will be competing in a World Curling Tour with two venues and ice pads converted for a total of 10 curling sheets for the Tour Challenge; one which will host Tier 1 (Western Financial Place) and the second will feature Tier 2 nearby at the Memorial Arena.
The party gets rolling tonight at the Cranbrook Curling Centre as The Trews play the Grand Slam opening social.
