Happy outcome for tangled duck thanks to youths, COs
The BC Conservation Officer Service this morning shared a good news story on social media.
COs helped free a Mallard duck that was tangled up in fishing line. Youths had captured the duck from Joseph Creek in Cranbrook and placed it in a small crate.
COs were called and helped safely remove the line from around the duck’s neck. The duck was released back into the wild (pictured above).
