KCA honoured by Remembrance turnout

Kootenay Christian Academy was honoured to have veterans, Royal Canadian Legion, service members, cadets, RCMP, firefighters, Our Worship Mayor Lee Pratt, and city councillor Ron Popoff attend their Remembrance Day Service on Friday, November 10.

In addition to staff and students, about 300 people from the community attended the service.Ā The audience stood in honour as the veterans, Legion, service members, cadets, firefighters and RCMP were led into the service by the bagpipe.Ā Individual students and classes shared their performances of poetry, music and drama.

Canadian Armed Forces Major Leah Byrne shared a moving message about the significance of Remembrance Day.
