Kin bolster school breakfast programs
As it is the season of giving the Kin Club of Cranbrook took the opportunity to do just that last week. Club members Crystal Kenyon, Anita Llewellyn and Heather Smith attended three schools within School District No. 5 and contributed a total of $1,800 towards the schools’ breakfast programs.
These programs allow for children to get a healthy and nutritious breakfast prior to the school day starting as well as a bagged lunch if required. As many know, breakfast is an essential component in assisting in learning. Schools being supported are Amy Woodlands, Gordon Terrace and Steeples Elementary.
