Legion recognizes Skip Fennessey for restoration support

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 in Cranbrook has been fundraising to restore the mural on the Wall of Honour in Rotary Park.

Members have managed to raise $1,271 through donations from members and a charity barbecue hosted by Chalet Chev Olds.

The Legion also recently received a generous $5,000 donation from Skip Fennessey (pictured centre).

Today, Tuesday July 23 Legion President Edith LeClair and local artist Joseph Cross (pictured to Skip’s left) presented Skip with a Certificate of Appreciation at the Wall of Honour.

“We are still short almost $1,700 to complete the restoration project and will continue to fundraise,” said Debi Hart, Legion Secretary/Manager.
