Library benefits from Friends volunteers
Chief Librarian Ursula Brigl, right, accepts a cheque for $ 20,000 from the Friends of the Cranbook Public Library to help with collection material, cushions for our little library users and much-needed equipment.
We would like to thank the public for their generous donation of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, and games, and please, keep those items coming. Without you and the many volunteers we could not have raised the money.
Our Spring Book Sale is just about to take place at the Manual Training School, adjacent to the library.
Keep the dates. It starts on Friday, May 1 from 3 – 5 p.m. for our members only, followed on Saturday May 2 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. for everyone and finishes on Sunday May 3 – after much demand – with our famous Bag Sale starting at 1 p.m. and closing at 3 p.m.
You bring your Friends bag and fill it for $ 5 to the brim with books and if you do not own a Friends Book Bag already you can purchase one for $ 5 and fill it again for $ 5.
We hope to get many items donated and have even more coming to find their reading, listening, or playing items, and may be some of all of the options.
