New Sweetheart and Princess crowned

After six months of hard work, seven Cranbrook teenagers laid it all on the line last night at Key City Theatre before the 2018 Sweetheart of Sam Steele Sweetheart and Princess were crowned.
All 7 candidates put on a tremendous show, entertaining the crowd and showcasing their talents and public speaking skills.
Before a packed and lively theatre audience, Isabella Fiorentino was crowned Sweetheart and Brooke Wheeldon Princess, by outgoing Sweetheart of Sam Steele Abbey McWhirter and Princess Jazmine Beaulac.
Fiorentino also took home the talent award, Toastmasters public speaking award and People’s Choice gift. Wheeldon was the community awareness winner and will receive a $500 scholarship.
All seven contestants with the new Sweetheart and Princess, will be riding in today’s St. Eugene Golf Resort & Mission Sam Steele Days Parade, starting at 10:30 a.m. in downtown Cranbrook.
