Pure Power Wrestling debuts with Avalanche fundraiser

High flying, hard hitting action will be on the card as Pure Power Wrestling debuts in Cranbrook with a night of live pro wrestling action Saturday, June 29 in support of College of the Rockies Avalanche Athletics.

Featured on the card will be Cranbrook’s own Poppy Powers facing off with “The Bombshell” Angelica in women’s wrestling action.

A relative newcomer to professional wrestling, Powers got her start competing alongside some of the top pro wrestling stars in Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest before returning to Cranbrook. A talented an athletic competitor, she uses her experience in gymnastics and dance to surprise opponents with fast-paced offence. Powers comes into the match proud to fight for the honour of her hometown.

Across the ring from Powers will be “The Bombshell” Angelica. With only three year’s experience in the ring, Angelica has already competed for nearly 15 different organizations in Canada and Mexico and shared the ring with some of the best that pro wrestling has to offer. The true definition of star on the rise, Angelica would love nothing more than to snuff out Powers’ budding career before it even begins.

Also featured on the card will be “Cougar Meat” Kyle Sebastian. Regarded as one of the top talents in all of Canada, Sebastian is an athletically gifted competitor who has competed against the best of the best in the wrestling industry for over 15 years across Canada, in the US and even in Japan.

Nova Scotia’s Sydney Steele will compete in Cranbrook as well. A respected veteran who has wrestled from coast-to-coast, Steele has competed against some of the top names in the wrestling industry and become one of Canada’s most in-demand talents.
