Rad ’80s Road Rally returning
Do you have what it takes for the Rad ’80s Road Rally – a scavenger hunt/car rally/ Amazing Race style event?
The fundraising event for St. Mary’s School is being held Saturday, April 23 from 4 to 9 p.m.
The fun starts at 4 p.m. with registration at St. Mary’s School. And from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. the race will take place.
So what do you need to do? You need a group of four to six friends and a registered vehicle with a valid driver, a cell phone and a sense of humour. A sense of direction may also help, but isn’t necessary.
Event co-organizer Kyla Cornish said participants will get “huge points for team costume and vehicle decoration. In fact, if you decide not to take part in a costume or vehicle decoration, you won’t have enough points to win the event. That’s just how important it is.”
From 6:15 to 9 p.m. participants can take part in the Happy Hour Wrap Up at Coyote Jacks Bar & Grill, upstairs at Western Financial Place, where there will be appies, games, a silent auction, 50/50, draws and awards for first, second and third prize.
Cost for the fun is $45 per racer.
Call the school at 250-426-5017 to reserve your team for $180, but organizers will need the names of your team members plus final payment by April 8.
