RCMP arrest suspect at scene of B&E

Cranbrook RCMP has one man in custody after a break in to a business in the 600 block of Patterson St W.

On June 11, Cranbrook RCMP was called to an alarm at the Patterson St W. business. Police arrived immediately on scene and began to check the building.

RCMP located a male in the back of the compound behind a trailer in a fenced off area. The male was crouched in the corner wearing black clothing with his face covered. The security bars had been removed from the trailer, the screen was off and the window was open. The male was arrested and taken to Cranbrook cells.

Clifford Robert Dranchuk, a 36-year-old from Osoyoos, has been charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Break in Instruments and Disguising Face with Intent to Commit Break and Enter. He remains in custody at this time, reported Cst. Katie Forgeron of Cranbrook RCMP.
