Sam Steele Days kicks off with a bang on Thursday, June 16.

Fill up at the Tamarack Centre kick off pancake breakfast and the Friends of the Library BBQ.

On Friday mosey on over to the Royal Lepage Corral (pictured above) for some great tasting burgers and for a late lunch or early supper hit the Fly Fusion BBQ and family fishing activities.

Then at 5 p.m. come to the Western Financial Central Fairgrounds, the place to be, with the ever-popular BA Blacktop Balls of Steele Bocce tournament, Molson Coors refreshment gardens and dancing to the Rockin’ band ‘The Chevelles’ on the Salvador Friday Night Stage.

There will be an assortment of food vendors so you can have dinner while you take in a game or two.

Get your groove on with Zumba with Josee. As well, you can saunter over to the ball fields and enjoy a cold one at the Sam Steele Ball Tournament.

Friday is the day the crowning of this year’s Sam Steele Sweetheart and Princess during the Youth Ambassador Pageant at the Key City Theatre.

We are still looking for lots of volunteers as well as paid helpers for the weekend, so please make sure go online to www.samsteeledays.org to get your information in. If you have an event happening please make sure to register this with our society so we are able to promote it for your business and let our patrons know what is happening around town. We hope to see you out for the largest festival in the Kootenays.
