Sikh community includes homeless in dinner

On Saturday, April 6, the Cranbrook Sikh community held a dinner at the Eagles Hall. I was invited by Paul Blais (AKA That Pizza Guy), along with other volunteers who have been helping with Free Breakfast/Shelter Cranbrook.
Paul also invited the homeless who have been benefiting from the work he is doing.
The Sikh community invited Paul and told him he could bring up to 50 people.
There are around 200 Sikh in Cranbrook, mostly students at College of the Rockies. Everyone who attended removed their shoes and socks and wore kerchief on their heads.
The meal, which took two hours to prepare, was delicious; a traditional meal that has been prepared for a thousand years and comprised of mutter paneer, dal, roti, salad, kheer, dahi mamri, white rice with spices.
Cranbrook Sikh community members wanted to do their part in helping the homeless, being inspired by Paul Blais.
I spoke to a few members of the community and I was told that they will participate in the Multi Cultural Festival this summer.
