On the morning of December 25, Cranbrook-based B.C. Conservation Officers (COs) Ray Gilewicz and Jeff Scott tranquilized a bull elk that was tangled in a tarp in a back yard in Cranbrook.

“The darting was super successful, the tarp was removed, the 5 x 4 bull elk walked out the back gate and was free for the holidays. Thanks to those people who called this in to the CO’s RAPP line,” the B.C. Conservation Officer Service reported on its Facebook page.
