Upcoming at Cranbrook Arts

Cranbrook Arts is excited to be participating in the Shop till you Drop Eat till you Pop Event hosted by the Downtown Business Association on May 4.

At our store we will be having our fabulous potter Edith Lydell set up her wares on the sidewalk. In our alley garden space, in the back of our shop, Randy Tapp will be performing on our stage. Also, come and show your artistic side and paint in one of the footprints on our banner “Creative Footprint” that we will hang across Baker Street after the event!

For the Month of Mothers Day:

OUR ASK: With Mothers day coming up we are asking citizens of Cranbrook to help us build a ‘Wisdom Window.’ We are seeking people to submit words of wisdom form their mothers. We will then write these words of wisdom in hearts to be displayed in our window display called a Wisdom Window to honour Mothers day on May 12.

TO SUBMIT WISDOM: Go on our Facebook Page or Instagram and leave a comment or better yet come in the store and write it on the hearts that we have in the shop.

IN THE GALLERY:

May 7-June 1: Cranbrook Arts will be hosting Art 75’s exhibit. Art 75 is proud to be a group that began painting together in 1975 and are still going. They meet at the Seniors Hall on Fridays 1-4 September till June on 2nd Street and 17th Avenue South – by the campground.

Art 75 are about the art, not about age and welcome new members of all skill levels. They have all levels of expertise in their group and the intent of the group is to learn from each other. They bring someone in for a workshop at least once a year. Come and see their beautiful creations at our 1013 Baker Street location.

We are always looking for new volunteers in the Gift Gallery Shop. Also, follow us on Facebook and at artscranbrook on Instagram.
