As the City of Cranbrook gets ready to start the construction of a fence and proper lighting for the Cenotaph, the Royal Canadian Legion in Cranbrook would like to thank Bob Muir and Larry Miller.

Bob and Larry have taken care of this 104-year-old memorial for many, many years. Every few years they clean and repaint the names of the 166 young men of Cranbrook and area who did not return home so they are always remembered.

Bob and Larry spearhead the project to have a fence placed around the cenotaph to preserve and protect it from further damage.

Thank you again to the City of Cranbrook for working with us and our community for helping us fundraise money to contribute toward the city’s costs.
