BC NDP platform focuses on riding’s needs: Cherlet
Columbia River-Revelstoke’s candidate for the BC NDP, Nicole Cherlet, Oct. 6 highlighted the commitments made in the BC NDP’s platform that will keep BC moving forward and benefit rural communities.
“John Horgan’s plan keeps BC moving forward, for all of us. It’s a plan that will help get people through the pandemic and ensure everyone – including rural communities – benefits from the economic recovery,” said Cherlet. “These commitments build on the progress we’ve made to improve health care, expand childcare, make housing more affordable, and create jobs and opportunities.”
Released earlier this week, the BC NDP’s election platform – entitled Working for You: John Horgan’s Commitments to BC – included commitments such as improving public health care, making housing more affordable, deliver high-speed connectivity throughout the province and create jobs.
“Under the BC Liberals, people in rural communities were largely ignored when it came to essential services and now Andrew Wilkinson is promising tax cuts for those who need help the least,” continued Cherlet. “I am running to be a strong voice in a majority BC NDP government led by John Horgan. It’s time that Columbia River-Revelstoke had a seat at the table in Victoria.”
The provincial election is Oct. 24.
