BC SPCA East Kootenay Branch Happenings
BC SPCA East Kootenay Branch hopes to raise $20,000 at their largest fundraiser of the year tomorrow afternoon in Cranbrook.
Mayor Lee Pratt, Mayor Don McCormick, and a host of 15 other Cranbrook and Kimberley citizens will be “LOCKED UP” to help with the cause.
Be sure and stop by Boston Pizza between 1 – 4 p.m. on June 1 and show your support for the BC SPCA East Kootenay Branch.
Seventeen local community members from Cranbrook and Kimberley will be locked up! We are looking for at least $1,000 per person in pledges to help support this great cause. These “Fugitives” will be picked up by our cruelty department and put in a kennel outside of Boston Pizza. The list of Fugitives include: Mayor Lee Pratt, Mayor Don McCormick, Steve Zsillei from Denham Ford, Karla Shalley from The Playpen, Tamara L’Hoost from Summit 107, Jason De Rijk from SideKick Stickers, Chris Thom from Rocky Mountain Diesel, Carrie Schafer from e-KNOW, Don MacMillian from the City of Cranbrook and the Kootenay ICE, Jennifer Mouly from Velvet Moss, Gina Martin from Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, Mark Salvador from Sandor Rental, Janice Sommerfeld from Snapd, Shane Stewart from Melody Motors, Chris Botterill from Genix Marketing, Steve Mercandelli from Cranbrook Dodge, and Brenna Baker from the BCSPCA! BC SPCA Summer Kids Camps
Registration is now available for all of our summer camps. We’re excited to offer a new and exciting camp program for 2016! Week long camps for 7-11 year olds run throughout July and August. New this year is our Mini Camp running August 16 -18 for 5-7 year olds. Details and registration can be found at spca.bc.ca/camps. We sell out every year so be sure to sign up soon!

EAST KOOTENAY BRANCH RECYCLE PROGRAM
Gail and Richard pick up, sort and deliver cans and bottles for recycling. If you want to donate, please drop off your refundable at the shelter or call Gail and Richard at 250-489-2540 and they will pick up from your home or place of business.

Luigi came to the shelter as a stray from Creston, he’s one of the sweetest cats you will ever meet. He doesn’t really like other cats but he can’t get enough human attention, he’ll even grab you and pull you in for more pets. Come visit him at the shelter today!
