Dynamiters host Rockies this evening
It takes a lot of dynamite to bring down a mountain.
Kimberley Dynamiters host the red-hot Columbia Valley Rockies in game one of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) Eddie Mountain Division finals this evening (March 9). Game time at the Civic Centre is 7 p.m.
The Nitros needed five games to knock off Creston Valley Thunder Cats in the division semi finals, while the underdog Rockies swept the Fernie Ghostriders, to set the stage for tonight’s game.
Game two goes Tuesday, March 10, while games three and four are Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 at Invermere’s Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena. All game times are 7 p.m.
Game five, if necessary is scheduled for Sunday, March 15 in Kimberley; game six is March 16 in Invermere and game seven, Tuesday, March 17 back in Kimberley.
The winner of this series advances to the Kootenay Conference Finals against either the Nelson Leafs or Beaver Valley Nitehawks.
