East Kootenay Invasive Special Council (EKISC) is holding its annual general meeting and field tour on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

This year’s AGM, ‘Ecosystem Restoration – Invasive Species as One Part of the Bigger Picture,’ will bring together partners, land managers, practitioners, and community members for a day of learning, collaboration, and connection at Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it First Nation Band Office Gym at Grasmere from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The day will include a field tour highlighting local ecosystem restoration projects, invasive plant management efforts, and field trials.

Participants will hear from local experts and practitioners about restoration approaches and the important role invasive species management plays in supporting healthy ecosystems. This event is free to attend, with snacks and lunch provided.
