Fund established for injured Crawford Bay woman
A fundraising effort is underway for a Crawford Bay woman seriously injured while e-biking a couple of weeks ago.
“Our beloved friend and talented artisan, Lorrie Rhead – the bright spirit behind Flickering Goddess Soap and Candle in Crawford Bay – was in a serious accident on March 31. While riding her e-bike, Lorrie was struck by a deer and sustained significant injuries, including a broken pelvis in two places and extensive bruising,” outlines the GoFundMe account established by friend Nicole Plouffe.
“This means a long, painful recovery ahead – likely several months – and during that time, Lorrie won’t be able to open her shop or brighten our days at Ladybug Coffee with her warmth and smile. Anyone who knows Lorrie knows how generous, hard-working, and full of heart she is. She gives so much to our community through her craft and her spirit, and now she needs our help.”
We’re raising funds to help ease the financial burden during this healing time – so Lorrie can focus on rest and recovery without the added stress of lost income.”
The goal is to raise $20,000, and nearly $5,000 has already been donated in a short time.
