Highway 3 remains closed west of Creston
Highway 3 west of Creston remains closed due to a mudslide and ferry service over Kootenay Lake is experiencing ‘service interruption,’ reports DriveBC.
In other words – if you have to get to the West Kootenay, be patient and make time. If you need to head to the Okanagan or further west – take Highway 1 – except, anticipate delays in the Heather Mountain area of Glacier National Park due to a mudslide and mudflows.
Highway 3 is closed 30 km west of Creston due to a mudslide that came down yesterday. A geotechnical assessment is in progress and no estimate as to opening has been provided by DriveBC.
