India Sherret suffers season-ending injury
Cranbrook resident India Sherret’s ski cross season is apparently over after taking a tumble Oct. 18, receiving a fracture and full rupture of the ACL in her right knee.
The 2018 Canadian Olympian, Alpine Canada Alpin team member and 2022 Winter Olympics hopeful stated on social media, “I’m obviously pretty disappointed with the fact I’m not going to be skiing, let alone racing, for the upcoming season. But sometimes that’s the way things go in ski cross.
“I’m looking forward to coming home in the next few days and getting my knee fixed up ASAP. Then I’ll get to tackling rehab so I can go skiing again soon. I’m lucky to have one of the best teams around to help me get back to doing what I love as quick as I can,” Sherret stated on social media Oct. 20.
