KIJHL announces game postponements
The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) has announced some game postponements for this upcoming weekend.
Due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases, the following games involving the Fernie Ghostriders have been postponed:
- Friday, January 7: Grand Forks Border Bruins at Fernie Ghostriders;
• Saturday, January 8: Fernie Ghostriders at Columbia Valley Rockies.
Due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases, the following games involving the Beaver Valley Nitehawks have been postponed:
• Friday, January 7: Beaver Valley Nitehawks at Castlegar Rebels;
• Sunday, January 9: Golden Rockets at Beaver Valley Nitehawks.
Due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases, the following games involving the Castlegar Rebels have been postponed:
• Friday, January 7: Beaver Valley Nitehawks at Castlegar Rebels;
• Saturday, January 8: Castlegar Rebels at Nelson Leafs.
Due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases, the following games involving the Kelowna Chiefs have been postponed:
• Friday, January 7: North Okanagan Knights at Kelowna Chiefs.
All games listed above will be rescheduled and played at a later date.
The KIJHL has also announced rescheduled games following earlier postponements.
The game between the Creston Valley Thunder Cats and Golden Rockets that had been scheduled for December 29 in Golden will now be played on Thursday, January 20, and the game between the North Okanagan Knights and Kelowna Chiefs that was originally scheduled for January 4 in Kelowna has been rescheduled for Friday, February 4.
