Nitros push Riders to game seven tonight
The Kimberley Dynamiters faced a long climb this past weekend, staring at possible elimination from the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) playoffs, down three games to one against the Fernie Ghostriders.
Kimberley used home ice advantage before 1,250 faithful at the Civic Centre Friday night (March 10) to win game five 4-2.
And the steepest climb was the next night (March 11) at the Fernie Memorial Arena before 1,118 fans hoping to see a series clinching performance.
Alas for the Riders, the Dynamiters hung on for a 3-2 win, sending the series back to Kimberley for game seven tonight (March 13). Gametime is 7 p.m.
