No need to apologize, Rob.

Electoral Area C Director and RDEK board chair Rob Gay came to the Moyie Community Association’s meeting on January 10 to apologize to the community for nixing the microwave tower project. Some feathers had been ruffled by the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) board of director’s decision not to re-zone our one small park to allow for a 120-foot tower. Many of us at the meeting were happy with the decision.

In fact, the silver lining in all of this is that the community… the whole community… has banded together to find an alternate solution for tower placement. The system has worked and we are the better for it.
