BC Hydro is currently working on a large power outage ranging from Kimberley to Fairmont Springs due to a transmission circuit failure.

BC Hydro estimates power will be restored by about 2 p.m. for the estimated 3,295 customers impacted.

Columbia River-Revelstoke MLA Doug Clovechok noted on social media: “BC Hydro has just contacted me to let me know that the power is out for many of you. This outage was due to a pole fire in the area; BC Hydro crews are working hard to restore services.”
