RCMP kept busy at Mud Bogs

Cranbrook RCMP Detachment General Duty Members were kept busy out at Koocanusa with this year’s Mud Bogs this past long weekend.

Cranbrook RCMP officers were out in marked vehicles and on ATVs throughout the Mud Bogs site.

RCMP conducted several roadblocks over the course of the weekend and stopped several hundred vehicles. As a result of these traffic stops, six persons, five from out-of -province, were issued with driving license suspensions under the Motor Vehicle Act.

“This year’s Mud Bogs brought people from as far out as Manitoba. Considering the amount of persons who attended to either watch or participate, overall, the crowds were generally well behaved. There were a couple of incidents at the Mud Bogs where two persons suffered minor injuries,” reported Cst. Katie Forgeron of Cranbrook RCMP.
